Hasta antes de la irrupción masiva del Internet, y de las nuevas tecnologías, nos enterábamos mediante los libros, o mediante esporádicos documentales de televisión, que se emitían en efemérides especiales, sobre los eventos ocurridos en Polonia, el 1ero. de Septiembre de 1939, cuando de manera aleve, apelando a falsedades, Alemania invadió a Polonia, sometiéndola en pocos días con su Guerra Relámpago (Blitzkrieg) y dando inicio a la Segunda Guerra Mundial, ya que 2 días después el Reino Unido, Australia y Nueva Zelanda, le declararon la guerra a Alemania, a lo que en días posteriores se sumaron Francia, Canadá y Sudáfrica.
Creíamos que algo así, sólo lo volveríamos a presenciar, ante la profusa difusión de series audiovisuales, tanto documentales como de ficción histórica, consecuencia de la masificación de las diversas plataformas, aptas para ello. Pero cualquier ser humano, testigo de este tiempo, anhelaba no vivir algo ni siquiera similar, en la vida real. Pues bien, dicho anhelo no se ha cumplido, ya que el 22 de Febrero, de este año, el Presidente de la Federación de Rusia, ordenó invadir a Ucrania, e igual que en los eventos del año 39, bajo sus personales caprichos, en la búsqueda de la expansión territorial y económica de su país, y apelando a un ardid, pero especialmente, a la fuerza bruta.
Una primera reflexión, son dos hechos coincidentes, entre ambos sucesos. Tanto el Führer de Alemania, responsable de la invasión a Polonia, como el Presidente de la Federación de Rusia, habían ocupado décadas atrás, modestísimos, por no decir insignificantes roles, en los anteriores importantes conflictos, en que habían participado sus respectivas naciones: el primero, un cabo de la Gran Guerra (1era. Guerra Mundial); y el segundo, un agente de la policía secreta, destacado en la antigua Alemania comunista (RDA), durante el final del período conocido como “Guerra Fría”. En ambos conflictos, sus naciones salieron perdedoras.
En el evento actual, las naciones solidarias con la parte afectada, de manera prudente no han optado por declarar la guerra, de manera inmediata al abusivo agresor, aunque de un modo que obliga el desarrollo de la civilización, si ha habido una contundente respuesta, masiva, pero que se fundamenta especialmente en las sanciones de tipo económico, político (simbólico) y de apoyo militar a Ucrania, sin que para ello, hasta ahora, se incluya el envío tanto de fuerzas militares propias, o el empleo de armamento pesado, con banderas de otras naciones, o de alianzas transnacionales. Igualmente, las sanciones económicas impuestas, y en un efecto de búmeran, terminan por afectar a todos, como se hace evidente por ejemplo, en el alza de los precios del petróleo.
El agresor, no ha dudado en responder a estas acciones, con las reiteradas amenazas, de acudir a sus principales armamentos, que incluyen los de naturaleza nuclear, lo cual como era de esperar, ha puesto en vilo a la mayor parte del planeta. También está siendo devastada, ante la vista del mundo, la nación ucraniana. Tanto sus instalaciones civiles y ciudades, son destruidas a lo largo y ancho de su extensa geografía. Quizás eso se pueda reconstruir algún día, pero y, ¿las vidas de los miles de inocentes, que ya han caído, alguien las podrá recuperar? Claro que no. Las naciones del orbe entero, siguen actualmente un genocidio, en directo.
Los países que tienen un poder militar, igual o superior, al del agresor, deben oponérsele cuanto antes, someterlo y llevarlo a un juicio, similar a los de Núremberg (1945 -46), en cuanto que ya hoy, su líder y las demás personas de su inmediato círculo de poder, se han constituido en connotados criminales de guerra. ¿Qué quieren esperar las naciones occidentales? ¿la destrucción total de Ucrania? ¿el ataque a otros países inermes? ¿un ataque, quizás nuclear, a ellos mismos? En estos momentos, ya la peor falta es la inacción. No debe esperar el mundo civilizado, respetar el derecho de la guerra, ante quién de antemano, no lo ha respetado, ni ante quién por el pueril capricho de pretender recuperar para su país “glorias del pasado”, destruye de manera inmisericorde, a sus semejantes.

Until before the massive irruption of the Internet, and new technologies, we learned through books, or through sporadic television documentaries, which were broadcast on special ephemeris, about the events that occurred in Poland, on the 1st. September 1939, when in a cunning way, appealing to falsehoods, Germany invaded Poland, subduing it in a few days with its Lightning War (Blitzkrieg) and starting World War II, since 2 days later the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand declared war on Germany, to which France, Canada and South Africa joined in later days.
We believed that we would only witness something like this again, given the profuse diffusion of audiovisual series, both documentaries and historical fiction, as a result of the massification of the various platforms, suitable for it. But any human being, witness of this time, longed not to live something even similar, in real life. Well, this wish has not been fulfilled, since on February 22, of this year, the President of the Russian Federation ordered the invasion of Ukraine, and as in the events of the year 39, under his personal whims, in the search for the territorial and economic expansion of his country, and appealing to a ruse, but especially to brute force.
A first reflection, there are two coincident facts, between both events. Both the Führer of Germany, responsible for the invasion of Poland, and the President of the Russian Federation, had played very modest, not to say insignificant, roles decades ago in previous major conflicts in which their respective nations had participated: the first, a corporal from the Great War (World War I); and the second, a secret police agent stationed in the former communist Germany (GDR), during the end of the period known as the "Cold War". In both conflicts, their nations lost.
In the current event, the nations in solidarity with the affected party have prudently not chosen to immediately declare war on the abusive aggressor, although in a way that forces the development of civilization, if there has been a forceful response, massive, but which is based especially on economic, political (symbolic) sanctions and military support to Ukraine, without, until now, including the sending of both its own military forces, or the use of heavy weapons, with flags of other nations, or transnational alliances. Similarly, the economic sanctions imposed, and in a boomerang effect, end up affecting everyone, as is evident, for example, in the rise in oil prices.
The aggressor has not hesitated to respond to these actions, with repeated threats to resort to his main weapons, which include those of a nuclear nature, which, as expected, has put most of the planet on edge. Also being devastated, before the eyes of the world, the Ukrainian nation. Both its civil facilities and cities are destroyed throughout its extensive geography. Perhaps that can be rebuilt one day, but what about the lives of the thousands of innocents, who have already fallen, can someone recover them? Of course not. The nations of the entire world are currently following a genocide, live.
The countries that have a military power equal to or greater than that of the aggressor must oppose him as soon as possible, submit him and take him to trial, similar to those in Nuremberg (1945-46), insofar as today, its leader and the other People from his immediate circle of power have become notorious war criminals. What do Western nations want to expect? the total destruction of Ukraine? The attack on other defenseless countries? An attack, perhaps nuclear, on themselves? In these moments, the worst lack is inaction. The civilized world should not expect to respect the law of war, before whom, in advance, it has not respected, nor before whom by the puerile whim of pretending to recover for their country "glories of the past", destroys in a merciless way, their similar.
